About trough idler conveyors

Trough idler conveyors are pulley driven and support the belt with a series of freely rotating angled idlers, which bend the belt into a U-shape. Idlers reduce belt friction, distribute weight, and assist with belt tracking. Trough idler conveyors are the best material handling solution for small, loose products and bulk materials.

Flat idler conveyor industries and applications

The following industries use flat idler conveyors:

  • Aggregates and mining: idler belt conveyors are a common solution for the long-distance conveyance of rock, ore, sand, and other bulk aggregates.
  • Recycling and waste management: all aspects of waste material handling, including biomass organic waste, single-stream recyclables, and shredded recyclables.
  • Cement production: effective at handling raw and sticky materials and throughout the cement-making process.
  • Manufacturing and assembly lines: streamlining production processes, from automotive parts to electronics.
  • Construction and demolition: removing abrasive debris and moving raw construction materials.
  • Energy and foundries: exceptional impact absorption and heat-resistant belts for hot and abrasive materials.
