Trough slider bed conveyor belts are supported by a smooth metal slider bed instead of idlers or chains. Troughed conveyor bed configurations direct loose materials to the belt’s center, generate little noise, and provide precision movement. Trough slider bed conveyors are also more cost-effective than trough idler conveyors due to their simple metal bed design.
Trough slider bed belts are fashioned from PVC, rubber, or specialized compounds. They can be customized for abrasion resistance, heat resistance, food-grade applications, and more. Trough slider bed conveyor belts can be tailored to meet the demands of virtually any material handling situation.
Industries that require back-and-forth conveyance, precision movement, and light-duty bulk material handling choose trough slider bed conveyors.
In the recycling industry, trough slider bed belt conveyors facilitate the processing of paper, cardboard, glass, and other waste streams. Trough belt conveyors are especially useful for handling shredded recyclables.
In assembly line operations, trough slider bed conveyors transport bulk components and fasteners. Their precise movement allows workers to accurately pick items from the line.
In food processing, light-duty troughed slider conveyors handle grains, nuts, candy, chips, and other bulk food products.
Other industries that utilize trough slider bed belt conveyors include mining, foundries, energy, and biofuel.
