Herringbone cleated conveyor belts feature a distinctive V-shaped pattern of raised cleats. The herringbone pattern provides a strong grip and prevents material rollback, especially for bulk materials being moved up or down inclines. Herringbone belts are commonly used for gritty applications, such as feeding MSW in the recycling industry due to their flexible, durable construction.
Herringbone pattern belt conveyors excel at transporting, feeding, and sorting loose materials and small items. They are often used on inclined conveyors to prevent product rollback at steep angles.
In the cement, mining, and energy industries, trough idler conveyors use herringbone belts to control aggregates, coal, and ore.
Herringbone pattern belt conveyors are used extensively at recycling sort centers that deal with loose MSW, glass, paper, plastic, and other materials.
Herringbone conveyor belts are commonly made from durable materials such as rubber, PVC, polyurethane, and specialty compounds. They can be customized with specific material properties, such asabrasion resistance, heat resistance, oil resistance, and food grade compliance.
Our herringbone conveyor belts include the following features:
Herringbone conveyor belts come in 6, 9, and 12 inch pitch options up to 108 inches wide. Additional add-on options such as c-channel backing, and more.
