Conveyors for fiber recycling
We provide the following solutions for fiber recycling facilities:
- Recycling sort systems are composed of conveyors, screens, grinders, separators, balers, and other recycling equipment. They are the primary systems at material recovery facilities, separating recycled materials from waste and preparing fibers for reuse.
- Roller chain conveyors are sprocket-driven. Modular belting attaches to heavy-duty roller chains that span the conveyor frame. Metal belts—apron pan, hinged steel, and Z-pan—withstand heavy loads, abrasion, and impact. They are commonly used at the beginning of recycling operations to handle heavy bundles, bales, and abrasive mixed materials. Rubber combo belts handle shredded bulk materials, such as cardboard, paper, clothing, and wood chips.
- Flat idler conveyors are pulley-driven and support the belt with a series of idlers. Idlers improve weight distribution (especially over long distances) and reduce belt friction. Flat idlers discharge wood chips from hammer shredders and perform general conveyance between other sorters, shredders, grinders, and pulping machines. Cleated belts help flat idlers prevent spillage and rollback on inclines.
- Trough idler conveyors are pulley-driven. Angled sidewing idlers bend the belt into a trough shape. Trough idlers force particulate toward the center of the belt, maintaining material capture and preventing spillage on horizontal or inclined conveyors.
Slider bed conveyors are pulley-driven. They commonly perform shorter transfer tasks and carry materials through magnetic separators, eddie currents, metal detectors, screens, and other specialty processes.
